"TRAIN"SITION PROGRAM

In the interim before building our own adaptive gyms, we have implemented a progressive Strength Training program called "Train"sition. This is Not like physical therapy, nor should be treated as such.
This program will allow us to build a client base, and to gather indisputable evidence that strength training is a very effective natural tool for heart health and treatment for a variety of neuromuscular diseases. One can think of being in our program like being in a clinical trial. With that said, there are protocols that need to be followed:
1. A Commitment of Twice Weekly training for at least 3 months.
2. A Minimum Total of 5 minutes of Video Footage Showing you working out in a Variety of vigorous exercises Each session. Because it is crucial for us to show the importance of having a personal trainer for our participants, your trainer Must also be Seen (or potentially heard) assisting/coaching you in Every video.
3. Sign a 'Participation Agreement' that documents the program requirements, and your role.
The funding for this program is provided through donations by pharmaceutical companies, other foundations, and/or supporters like you. Even though the progressive strength training program being offered is directed at heart health, we expect you to see improvements in function, overall strength, energy, and mood.
The “Train”sition Program is designed to provide a means for those with a neuromuscular/mitochondrial disease to engage in Regular (at least twice a week), Effective (designed by certified trainers in coordination with our Founder), and Safe (conducted using appropriate equipment and with appropriate supervision and assistance) strength training. Your participation may continue beyond the initial 3-month training period, but that is entirely dependent upon successful fundraising. The more you put into the program, the more the program can do for you.
It should be made clear that three months of progressive strength training alone will not bring about long-lasting heart benefits. Exercise, particularly progressive strength training, needs to become part of your lifestyle. Use the personal training sessions to learn how to exercise effectively and safely on your own or with assistance from family or friends. The program is a vital building block for a lifetime of heart-healthy exercise.
